The ever-popular Altima has long been Nissan’s bestselling car in the U.S., and this model year, the automaker is taking its prized sedan to a whole new level. Adopting a new “Energetic Flow” design scheme, Nissan is injecting a sportier and more aggressive style into the Altima, one that drivers around the U.S. are sure to love.
“The new 2016 Altima has been transformed in one of the most extensive mid-cycle product makeovers in Nissan history – outside, inside and under the skin,” said Nissan executive José Muñoz. “The new Altima offers class-leading standard fuel economy of 39 miles per gallon highway for Altima 2.5-liter engine equipped models. No other mid-size sedan has shown consistent fuel economy gains over the last decade like Altima has, including a 26 percent increase since 2006.”
A New Exterior
The 2016 Altima’s new exterior showcases a host of terrific new updates and changes, including a new front fascia, as well as new fenders, a new hood and new boomerang-shaped head- and taillights. These new features add a sportier look to the sedan that works to move the Altima more into the sport sedan marketplace. Other new features on the car are its V-motion grille and its newly sculpted lower bumper. One of our favorite new amenities on the 2016 Altima is its new halogen high beam and projector low beam headlamps that provide just a little bit more safety and style to the sedan.
Efficiency has long been one of the most important things to Nissan, which is why they have made the new Altima even more efficient through new aerodynamic features like its active grille shutter, new windshield designs and underfloor aero cover additions. Finishing off the changes on the exterior are two new wheel designs, as well as a new Deep Blue Pearl exterior paint color.
An Updated Interior
The Altima’s interior is also getting a few updates, including the addition of Nissan’s new “Gliding Wing” design scheme for the cabin’s dash. Featured already on many cars available at your local Nissan dealer in Surprise, the new design scheme features two new touchscreen options, as well as a revised C-stack.
For those who have long been fans of the sedan’s Zero Gravity front seats, you’ll be happy to learn that they have been reshaped to provide even more comfort and style, including new woven cloth upholstery. This upholstery is also imbedded in the car’s door panels, which gives the Altima an even more luxurious aesthetic.
A New Sport Trim
One of the biggest new additions this model year is the Altima SR model that features terrific sport amenities, including a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter, paddle shifters on the steering wheel and a new interior accent trim. It’s the most aggressive model of the Altima that Nissan has ever produced and we’re very excited to introduce it to our customers.
